    Sim City

Sim City September 14, 2007 Sim City 4 Meltdown ‘The Sims’ has remained one of gaming’s most consistently popular titles for years. The latest installment, ‘MySims’, focuses less on the human aspect and more on building and designing. The game’s anime-inspired aesthetics and tree-shaking gameplay bring ‘Animal Crossing’ to mind, though ‘MySims’ lacks the depth of gameplay. The game is heavy on charm, however, thanks in part to a varied cast and plenty of Sim-babble.

    Wrath Of The Lich King

Wrath of the Lich King August 5, 2007 The King and I /Yul Brynner Deborah Kerr 1956 After adding a whole new dimension, a higher level cap, and (more importantly) flying mounts in the previous Burning Crusades expansion pack, the folks at Blizzard did the only thing they could do to impress their loyal online following: they added Arthas. The voice acting in this trailer is a bit melodramatically silly, and the cinematics are slightly underwhelming as game trailers go [...]

    You Shall Not Pass Wind

You Shall Not Pass Wind September 28, 2007 YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!! Techno Remix It appears ‘The Simpsons Game’ will let you command an army of Ralph Wiggums, which makes the title worth its weight in dragon’s gold. The fantasy-themed level, which is an obvious parody of EA’s soul-sucking MMORPG ‘EverQuest,’ features Patty and Selma as a two-headed beast and Ralph as a very happy little elf. Can Homer vanquish the Forces of Evil? It can go either way; he’s [...]

She’s mysterious, she’s sexy, and she’s quite the ass-kicker. GameTrailers takes a look at one of her finest moments, which was also arguably [...]

Grand Theft Redistricting: America August 12, 2007 According to Chris Swain, director of the University of Southern California’s Electronic Arts Game Innovation lab, “Redistricting is a dark corner of our democracy, and if you reform redistricting you’d solve a lot of problems in America.”   In order for citizens to better understand just how gerrymandering, oops, sorry, redistricting has been used by politicians and political parties, Swain, here interviewed by Why Tuesday?’s Jacob Soboroff, came up with The Redistricting Game, [...]
