So after a long, writer’s strike-related hiatus, the majority of the talk shows are back on the air. Some have writers, some don’t. Some hosts are rocking new “strike beards,” some aren’t. It’s all very complicated.

So instead of discussing whether or not Conan O’Brien can actually do a watchable show without writers (he can’t), let’s focus on something simpler: Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee playing the bass with Jay Leno’s band. It’s almost a channeling of Bill Clinton’s saxophone days; between this and his friendship with Chuck Norris, he’s becoming quite the showman.

Now all he needs is some policies that resonate with the youngsters. Then he’d be all set.
